To the right is a photo of my much loved danish style G-Plan chairs (i have 4 round my Ikea docksta table) i am STILL on the hunt for the 'right' retro fabric to cover them. I just cannot find The One.
.
I am soooooooooo tired of not having the wretched chairs nicely covered and i want to invite friends round for dinner!

vintage etsy finds

Why does all the gorgeous retro kitchenware on Etsy have to be located in the US!! It just costs way to much to ship over here every time :(
-
Even though i can't afford, i love to 'window shop' and it's all good inspiration for my ceramic painting.

My obsession has moved on to pyrex now too.....

love your laptop

I am loving these fabric MacBook sleeves from food fabric and paper on Etsy. I don't actually have a Mac, just a regular laptop but these are available on special request in different sizes.

Excellent christmas present idea! I'd be quite happy with one ;)

Orla Kiely has always been one of my absolute favourite designers but just lately i've become a bit obsessed with her stem print range. So i've added a few little things (below) to my Christmas list hee hee ;)

ebay finds

I really want these retro fabrics i found on eBay! Ideally i could add them to my parents Christmas list but.... for some god unknown reason my parents have complete eBay phobia and will not purchase anything off there, which i have to say is a huge pain in the butt for me!!!!!!

cute christmas cards

All these christmas cards off Etsy - so much more appealing than all the high street shop selections (the ones i seem to find anyway) So unique, i love them! I'm getting in early this year :)

fabric love

These fabrics i found on Etsy are more colourful than the usual ones i go for but i love them, especially the top one and the christmas trees! They're totally not the right colours for covering my chairs but perfect for tea-towels to inject some pattern in the kitchen. I have recently discovered that some normal fabrics are just as good at drying dishes as (cheap) Ikea tea-towels so i'm now buying ANY fabric that i like to use as tea-towels!

getting crafty

I have developed such an obsession with vintage mugs/cups that i have started painting my own! Wouldn't it be lovely to have a collection like Janne from whats blogging my view (pic above), i never seem to find ones like these. Which is why i am creating my own - full of colour and pattern so i can have them on display to contrast beautifully in my white minimal kitchen, AND maybe i'll start selling some if (VERY BIG IF) i'm good enough :)

The pictures below are very inspirational for me. I also have a few designs i've scribbled down and one of my first creations will be an vintage style owl mug for my owl mad friend!

cool but toasty

I found these GORGEOUS hot water bottle covers on eBay, i can feel my pattern fever kicking in hardcore. It's like my cushion obsession x 100 because these keep you warm too! I'm dreaming of snuggling up with one of these on a cold winters evening watching a good film. I desperately want the top 4 but just working out how to justify buying them. £4.99 each which isn't too bad!? I love the pink one for Sophies room :)
