I've been admiring these 1970s cushions for some time now. There are more 'lovely things for lovely people' at the Mr & Mrs House website. I might have to buy the brown ones.....

BIBA T-shirt

If only this t-shirt was more distressed or in brown or grey. Love the design but too black and 'new looking' for me. I'm sure there must be a way of distressing?????

Errr... more chairs!

My super sexy vintage lamp base (and not-so-sexy shade) arrived today and so did my radio. I was so excited about receiving them i was almost looking forward to coming to work this morning but not quite. Very very pleased with both. So pleased i had to look on ebay for more things to purchase ;)

They are perfect and within my budget AT THE MOMENT! I'm trying not to get my hopes up as these things always go mad last minute. So beautiful though....

Weekend waffling

I have been up since half 6 this morning because we had Sophie, it's now only half 8 and i need to go back to bed already! I've a busy day in front of me (after the sleeping part...) my house needs some serious TLC as i've had to abandon it in favour of No 22. At some point i must walk down to our local Antique Centre and check out any new stock before someone else gets their grubby little hands on it ;)

We had the first viewing of No 22 yesterday, i say we, we weren't actually present as the letting agent took care of it all - it only lasted 10 measley minutes!? Is that bad...?? Seems rather brief to me and unfortunately we don't get to hear straight away, in our favour there is a shortage of 2 bedroom houses to rent in our area so fingers crossed.

A quick eBay find before i go back to my nice warm bed....

I am deliberating as to whether to purchase this or not - i love it - but my living room is primarily white with dark browns and this would obviously change the whole tone of the room. I need the extra storage that this would provide AND it's even though on eBay it's only 10 minutes down the road. This may be my best chance (or only chance!) - dilemma dilemma!!!

Showhome: Midcentury Show

When i recently found out there was a Midcentury Show on 20th March i was gutted because i knew with all the work at No 22 there'd be no way i could even get near. But, BUT.... just found out there is another one on 18th May!! Which gives me nearly 2 months to work on Lee coming with me (yeah right....)

Just glancing at the Midcentury Show and Showhome websites there are some BEAUTIFUL pieces....

Bag or cushion?

Another eBay find soon to be bought by moi! It is actually a bag but i thought the lovely 40s fabric would make a fab cushion cover.

New day, new lamps

The beautiful rocket lamp i posted yesterday went on eBay for £18 + £18 postage from US and ended at 3am in the morning so i was a good girl and did not bid (even though very surprisingly Lee loved it.....!). Still on the hunt for something very similar in the UK, in the meantime i am going to purchase this lovely 50s/60s lamp and just change the shade.

Tempted to buy this one but again it's £18 postage from US. I think it's very similar to the one in Anna from Doorsixteen's gorgeous home (actually not that similar but still like it)

AND another one that i love and think i might have to buy! How is it possible to suddenly get so obsessed with lamps?! Especially when i don't actually need any....

More Lamp Loving....

Loving these lamps too and even found a pic of 'my' oval G-Plan table.

Lots of decisions to make as buying one of these tables would mean a complete change of wood furniture in the living room. At the moment i am trying to juggle No 22 and my house so therefore managing to aimlessly obsess over a lot of things. We have our first viewing at No 22 on friday so i really need to focus today and tomorrow..... but so hard...!!

Lamp Hunt

Never mind the hunt for my chair - i need to own this gorgeous lamp so much more. The only problem is it's on eBay from the US and the postage alone is about £18! Very very tempted just to sod it and treat myself. It would have prime position in my living room.....

Radio Rental

That's how i'm feeling today - completely radio rental, all this painting has gone to my head and there's nothing left except paint fumes and confusion. Oh and on the subject of actual radios, i've bought ANOTHER one off eBay for the kitchen or maybe the sun room... or wherever! Does it really matter!!!

The eBay listing did say it was ideal for a vw camper (honest), it was made for me and i love it already....

Gimme G-Plan

I can't stop obsessing about these G-Plan coffee tables. Only problem is i do actually like my current coffee table but this one is calling me, if i buy it i would have to buy a new sideboard to blend with it or put it in storage. Too scared to email it to Lee is case he doesn't approve and i can NEVER have one oh my god noooo

Again i am not daft enough to post the link to eBay, it's only £30 :)

Back to Work :(

After a 'lovely' long weekend painting, not sure which is worse..... painting or adjusting to working again! A few tit bits from the weekend...

1. All that lovely white snow had completely disappeared by the afternoon

2. My oh-so-fab logic lamp is IMPOSSIBLE to assemble so i'm giving it to my Dad to do - he likes a challenge and a challenge he will get ;)

3. I am officially a clumsy clutz! I covered my precious sofa in dark brown paint dust, broke a glass (Ikea though so not all that surprising...), spilt RED WINE down my friends top (she is still my friend though thanks to Vanish...), and spilt my tea all over my desk this morning

4. The chair hunt is not going well, this was one of my options on eBay - £255!!!!

5. Painting at No 22 is nearly finished, only the very beige kitchen left to do - yay :)

6. I found a potential VW campervan on eBay for us, needs a paint job as blue doesn't do it for me. I've seen a few others too, it's weighing on my mind again as spring is approaching - i NEED one now!

HAPPY EASTER

I confess i have been a blogger slacker so far over the Easter break but we've been very busy decorating No 22. So far painted the entire lounge, stairs and landing in a lovely snowy white. Speaking of snow tee hee... i was so excited when i woke up this morning and it was proper snowing for once! It felt like Christmas day..... just 3 months late.....

Sneak Peeks

A few of my favourite things from my house, things i would save if there was a fire (god forbid!). As you can see i like the colour brown...!! I often say to Lee how much i love my cushion, after months of searching i found the fabric on eBay (of course!) and voila :)

Logic Lamp

I was hoping my new eBay-uber-cool-retro 'logic' lampshade would arrive before Easter and it has - yay, although it might actually take me the whole 4 days to assemble it!! End result is approx 30cm x 30cm so should be interesting....

G-Plan GIFT!!

Now why can't i be given a present like this?? A friend of mine, the lovely Wiz Wharton (author of fab book 'How to Have a Baby on eBay') was given this gorgeous G-Plan sideboard by her OH!!

Couldn't resist including a pic of her hall too, i love her style so very inspiring for me and all fuelling my (G-Plan? chair...?) obsession even more oh yes.

Morning Madness

Am i mad? I don't think so. This is my daily 20 minute walk to work.... yes across a field! It's nice and it's peaceful so i thought i'd take a photo.....

Although i say it's peaceful my fave walking song on my fab skull ipod is Rhianna's 'don't stop the music', the best walking song - highly recommended, it's just the right (fast) pace! It needs to be a brisk walk as i'm trying to trim up and of course reduce my carbon footprint by not driving. Feeling the need to point out that i can drive to work in 3 minutes, so how good am i by walking!

My next eBay purchase. £8.00 buy it now! And i will be providing i get my lovely boyfriends approval, this little thing will be replacing my current kitchen spotlights. I was lusting after a sputnik light but have an Karlson atom clock in the kitchen so decided against it.... to many spiky things in one place. A softer kitchen light is required i'm thinking, just like this :)

Sofie

So continuing the animal theme.... i am strangely drawn to this cushion. There are more on the do website. More cats and dogs - all complete with names. This one is called Sofie, once again it would be purrfect (tee hee couldn't resist...) for a certain little girls bedroom. Lee's little girl, 'Sophie' adores cats! Maybe another day i will talk about Puskin.

www.do-shop.com - i've getting all excited because this place is down Beak Street, near Carnaby Street where we always go when visting London. Maybe totally out of my price range but still good for inspiration.

These are so cool! The very lovely Supernice website do super funky retro animals as actual wallpaper, from these birds to giraffes and elephants. I know a little girl who would love these in her bedroom and i'm liking the 60s/70s patterns.... excellent choice of wallpaper patterns too. Do i feel a purchase coming on??? Do i??!!

Bathroom Babbling

Although nothing like the No 22 grey bathroom project, this stunning pic shows the soft grey and dark brown comb - i like these colours together. Our bathsuite is actually quite a nice soft grey so have finally decided to spray paint (yay more spray painting!) the bamboo blind dark brown. Had to resort to browsing UKTV Style website.....nothing wrong with that OF COURSE but not really my usual taste! http://uktv.co.uk/style/homepage/sid/2

Realisation

I've realised that the more i look at something i intially like, the more i either A - start to hate it, or B - start to love and obsess about it. Having started this blog and looking at the same things on here every day it's helping me decide which is which. For example i am rapidly going off that Amy Butler fabric and loving the Florence Broadhurst much more. Also going off my newly sprayed Ikea table.... oops :)

Maybe a slightly pointless realisation actually.....?? But this blog is intended to be about things I LOVE!
