come dine with me

Oh how i want to invite people to come and eat and drink wine and chatter. But i need to re-finish the dining room. Re-finish because it was done but then i re-arranged and changed and then pretty much abandoned...

.

Anyway next weekend is pre-booked to blitz it back to life :)

Some inspiration to help me on my way.... (all very brown & white!)

eating habits

Everyone should get in the habit of eating at the dining table! We don't but we should and it bothers me a little.

.

Speaking of eating i am broadcasting the fact that i am now on a diet to lose at least a stone. My logic being that maybe if i tell the world i will suddenly develop willpower to not eat chocolate. For those interested i have ordered these dvds to help me turn skinny overnight - here, here and here.

ANYHOO... back to interiors, here's some dining inspiration...

dining to die for

I do believe dining in is the new dining out! Yes... along with all things credit crunch, it's so much fun to have friends round, that is, as long as you have a dining area to die for. Ours now resembles a nice tidy dining room (as opposed to previous ebay junk room...) but i still have the finishing touches to do before it's dinner party standard!

eat in style

Is it strange that i LOVE just looking at dining areas! The fab table and chair combinations, the pendant lights, the complimentary artwork on the wall and of course - the carefully selected 'casual' knick-knacks on the table.

.

I've said it a million times but i really am sorting out our ebay junk room back into the dining room this weekend, i am really. Really really really.

.

Oh and i just adore the fairy lights in pic 6!

Even though i don't actually like this wallpaper much, it's way too granny like and not in a good way, it strangely works here and i really like this picture!

dining to desire

After the kitchen is finished, and then the bathroom, it's then time to finish the dining room. The dining room is currently the eBay selling junk room/freezing cold sunroom, it has some of my favourite furniture in there and i just want it NICE!! (i know it's my own fault, need to spend the entire year selling crap on eBay.... just having a whinge...) It's all like a neverending merry-go-round.

Gorgeous dining room inspiration to get my (non-existant) juices flowing...
