I have definitely decided. This is the way i want my next house - an old property from the front but then with a minimal extension on the back like below. That way i get all the character i want in the house but also the modern simple lines in the extension. Most probably we would have to add the extension after finding the right house as i think finding the whole package would be very unlikely!

Forgot to mention - this house is in cabbagetown, toronto (see nothing is ever perfect.... cabbagetown...??? is that an actual serious place.... )

Oh my word! That's actually one of the best houses ever! I love it from the front...the garden and railings..and the extension on the back...has quite a 60s/70s feel to it. Definitely get the best of both worlds. Where is it?
I know, i love it! Got so into the house i forgot to mention where it was! It's called 'cabbagetown' in toronto...
This house is FABULOUS!! Anyone know what job prospects are like in Cabbagetown?? I HAVE to live here!
I was going to blog about this incredible house today!!! LOL!
I love it soooooo much I could cry!
That truly is having it all, isn't it? It's like going through the looking-glass...
I want that address...and the bathtub.:)
yes. badass. agreed.
Wow, an amazing home! I love traditional (old house) exteriors and modern interiors. Mid-century furniture pairs nicely with plaster walls and hardwood floors.
I never thought about that... trad from front, mod from the back. (Like my abbreves?) I like it! Nice find.
Cabbagetown! tee hee! Is that where the Cabbage Patch Kids lived?! :)
the house is gorgeous, a perfect example of old & new working like a dream. x
