troublesome tuesday

Maybe there is something wrong with me. I come into work today for my already reduced 3 day week and am told that it may be reduced even more to 1 or 2 days, therefore even less money for me. So what do i do? I go and look at potential houses on the internet. This is when i realise that maybe i am seriously in denial. I need to get off my getting-fatter-by-the-day backside and do something like now!!! My kitchen buzz is rapidly disappearing...
.

Plan of action

.

8 get out my sewing machine and make things in vintage/retro fabrics to sell on eBay/etsy

.

8 sell unwanted items on eBay

.

8 apply for part time jobs

.

8 ummm.... there must be something else surely.... stop procrastinating maybe....

That sucks - I hope things get better for you.

You were right - we DO have a lot in common! My working situation is similar. Although I already have a webshop up where I sell handmade stuff, I need a part-time day job. I've been considering the ebay-option too, but it takes a lot of time and doesn't really bring in big money (unless you sell expensive stuff, of course). Good luck, whatever you decide on!

Dearest Biba, so sorry to hear this. I empathize, as I'm self-employed and only have work scheduled a few weeks out (bidding a job today, fingers crossed). I sell vintage on Etsy, which brings in a little extra money, though is a lot of work (fun work though). I do fear I'm in denial as well, like I should give up the dream of being self employed (at least for a while in this economy) and look for an office job. Ugh. Maybe you can come up with something unique to make in your fab new kitchen! Food trends: Gourmet dog biscuits, gluten-free foods, etc to sell online.

damn this economy! i am so sorry to hear your hours are being cut. it will be fun for you to get a sewing machine. and it always feels great to unload a bit on ebay for cash.

hang in there!

Really sorry to hear it Miss Biba, I really hope it doesn't come to that. Good luck with the sewing - you can do it!

Sorry to hear that Miss B.
You have said to me before that you feel that there is something better out there than your current job.
Take your situation and turn it into a positive, buy a sewing machine and give it a go!!!

Thinking of you.
