There really is no ideal place to start.... i am here... i am alive....i am humble and i am being overdramatic...lol

I am also a tad ashamed and honoured..... despite being blatantly absent/distant/slack/presumed dead, i have noticed continued daily visitors and followers as though i was still here, no idea why but hey thanks ;)

And so i intend to return to my bubble :)

Below are a few updates for those mildy curious over the last few months....

(i know this blog is about the pictures and not me blah blah but hey - pictures WILL follow)

1. I wrote off my car (me ok, car not so much) and am now the proud owner of beautiful black new beetle (materialistic moi).

2. I have a kitten called Parker, he is stunning but naughty and loving all at once. How many kittens actually put their arms (front paws/legs) around you for a cuddle....really he does.

3. I have had an early mini mid life crisis and possibily have a split personality

4. I am actively learning french and, accidently, polish too

5. I am slightly insane and proud of it

6. I have purchased a posh new mini netbook for blogging and other timewasting activities

7. Oh i/we have found a big bad house and MAY be moving...

8. Most importantly, i am still an interiors junkie

Quite literally. So yes... i have decided my life will be better if i have festoon lights in the garden. Anyone know what festoon lights are? Well i didn't but now i do - the big traditional party lights that kinda just look like bulbs on a black wire. I love them! Obsessed. All gardens look better with lighting at night and i will soon be able to sit in the sunroom in the evening and admire my new beauties :)

And loving the tealight candle in jars for pretty and very cheap lighting.....

Very boring piece of news - i have commited to getting nice new windows in my home... my existing ones are worn out and is also an investment for when i (eventually) find a new house and sell. Sounds mad but i think the house is happy with my decision, it feels different already, and this has inspired me to finish those last few.... 'pending'.... DIY projects...

So expect some projects soon, i'll take before and after pics to share :)

Sorry this is not a beautiful bedroom inspiration post... this is more of a sleep tribute post! My week has consisted of - being in the office til 10pm - throwing up all night - then doing a 4 hour journey - helping parents move into new house - eating cheese & biscuits at gone midnight (yum) - going sightseeing in the rain - hard goodbyes - a 5 1/2 hour journey - throwing up mid journey - getting lost in the snow - full day back in the office feeling like poo.

So i think it's only fair that today should equal sleep for me! Sleep is beautiful.

(even though i have a vague memory of saying i was going to blitz the house this weekend...)

Guilty. I have been missing again but with good reason.... we had a last minute ski trip for a week in france (yay me!) and we all know what december/christmas is like (especially if you're like me and leave xmas shopping til the last minute...) so i have had NO TIME to think let alone turn on the pc!

I've missed blogging these last few weeks so much and will be back to normal after christmas. So skiing was fab and I am now well and truly addicted to vin chaud! Will post some snow pics during the next week and of course lots more beautiful inspiration pics.

It's beginning to feel a lot like christmas.....

And while i really should be out celebrating christmas eve in style i'm at home and wishing everyone a very happy christmas.

I have been missing again.... this time due to mild flu (or maybe just a bad cold...) and then followed by a sick bug :(

Poor me, so i decided i needed some cushion therapy.... latest purchase below from ebay shop scary canary, handmade using 60's fabric and there are more available if it takes anyones fancy. So i think this is my final new cushion for the lounge, see my previous 2 here.

Is it really strange that i am SO excited to receive this?! I love it :)

I am now a craft blogger! One reason (or excuse...) why i may have been slightly distracted lately is because.... i'm now an author on another blog too! It's my work blog - Photocentric (the art of creating stamps). Established company but the blog is brand spanking new, so myself and another running it from England and another from the US running obviously the US posts.

Briefly it's all about stamping/printing projects and how to's - all by making your own stamps from any drawing, font, artwork, photo etc. My projects will all be retro inspired and very me! Lots of fabric printing :) I'm planning...

For some time i've been considering new coffee table options, my current one is an old ikea one, very low, very sleek and i do love it but it's about 1m x 1m square and takes up the entire room! I could never sell it so it would have to add to my collection in my mum & dad's garage (dad not a happy bunny about this....).

Innocently looking on the internet this morning i found a (very high) potential house for us! It ticks all the boxes... good location, good price, good size, big bay windows, good parking (no garage but suddenly that priority doesn't matter anymore..) and it's WHITE. Ok so i didn't ever intend to go for a house with a white exterior too but if anyone should have one then it's me.

Only small snag is, it could be sold already.... I'm getting a call back tomorrow to let me know. I'm obsessed already though, i WANT, NEED this house. I've not even seen it yet and i have butterflies, what if it's sold! I feel sick.

Thought i would share my new tote bag...

And... I made it myself! Well, i bought the plain linen tote bag off ebay for £1 and wanted to stamp my own design onto it, nothing too exciting with the owls but i'm really pleased with it for my first one (Lee thought i bought it from a shop!). My next project will be to print my own design onto plain tea towels, will maybe try cushion covers and card making after that... and i like the idea of printing my own wrapping paper for presents. The stamp is made from photopolymer instead of standard rubber so the detail and print is so much better.

The stamp itself i made just from a normal print of an owl, and was ridiculously easy with the stamp it kit below, only £19.99 available from photocentric or $39.95 from justrite for US. Very easy and no mess. See 'how to' below...

+ you need an anglepoise lamp with standard 60w bulb

+ create design or find a pic you want to print

+ the kit comes with a disc to turn your pic into a negative

+ print negative onto paper and just put in glass clamp with a yellow sachet (both in kit)

+ switch on lamp directly above your pic & sachet, time for 2 mins, turn and time for 10 mins

+ cut edges off sachet, wash out yellow gel with fairy liquid and you have your very own stamp :)

What does one do with a tiny hall? It's actually very hard to find nice unique furniture that small! My hall is about a metre & a half long by under a metre wide with 3 (yes THREE) doorways off it. At the moment it's a nothing space and i need to make it into a something space... and so gorgeous small hall inspiration below....
