The right hand side isn't too bad but the left hand side is suffering from my previous half hearted DIY attempts! Quite hard to photo the room due to the size. Hopefully off to Ikea on Thursday so work can commence once handles are purchased.... scary.....

more kitchen inspiration

Ikea day is looming upon me which means absolute final kitchen decision and purchase! I'm still finding kitchen inspiration, and still on the white with dark brown eye candy. I really like this dark wood 'wall' below, would love to incorporate something similar into my tiny kitchen.

creative office

Just browsing the furniture redo flickr group and found these re-covered office chairs. How fab! I know my office isn't exactly at the centre of my creative thoughts but i'm amazed i've never thought to do this.

My current office chair is that horrid officey royal blue fabric, complete with grubbiness and bobbles (shameful but yes i wipe my dirty fingers on the sides of my seat!!) I can't wait to start my new project, wonder if i'll be allowed to do this during work time though.... hmmm!?

Now i'm finding this pretty awesome (and awesome is not a word i use lightly!). As a huge Angelina fan i know every millimetre and every expression on her face and so often find myself chuckling at bad wannabies and lookalikes. These are 4 girls from msn lookalikes that are pretty damn amazing with their Angie likeness.

i heart primark

This weekend just gone i treated myself to a visit to one of my favourite places - Primark! It's fab not only because it is so cheap but it does actually have some really cool things, i've found the fashions to be ahead of many other high street stores as it's very inspired by catwalk trends. Ok so maybe there's also lots of basic tat to look through but below are just a few of my fave buys from this visit - all very grey & black!

Big thank you to Bobble for recommending these A3 posters from the Advice to Sink in Slowly poster website, designed by graduates of University College Falmouth they pass on personal advice in a creative way.

Love love love them and can't believe they are so cheap! ONLY £5 for something cool and original, how can i not buy one (maybe 2 or 3...) for just a fiver!! Now which ones do i buy???

sunday staining hell

I don't usually get chance to post at the weekend but i'm having a break from my sideboard staining HELL. It was all going swimmingly until somehow i managed to 'drag' the previous coat while applying another coat - resulting in all my beautiful hard work looking horrifically patchy. So now i'm right back to sanding again! Luckily is hasn't affected the entire sideboard, just the drawers and a door. I AM TRYING TO REMAIN CALM!!!!
