Somehow stumbled across this US magazine Atomic Ranch.... gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous mid-century interiors. The website gives enough eye candy through the issues leaving me wanting more, and details on susbscribing! Think i'll be finding out if i can subscribe from the UK, depending on pennies of course!

Loving these US vintage posters from Hammerpress, don't have the faintest idea what any of them are about but they're a bit unusual. Finding myself particulary drawn to the Decemberists ones.

They also do some pretty cool art prints....

eBay lurrrve

I can't stop looking at my chairs!! My dad is kindly travelling the 300+ miles to Kent and back, near Canterbury (i'm still none the wiser as to where they are??) and he's collecting them this Thursday :) I feel so much love for my new chairs as opposed to my current ones which now need to disappear fast.

Somehow i couldn't help but look for more things on ebay that might make me happy!

Although space may be a problem.....

10 reasons to be happy

1. one BIG reason - i got my 6 sexy g-plan chairs off ebay for £10!!!

2. another BIG reason - we have a tenant for number 22, as from 25th May so Lee finally moving in for real (scary!)

3. doctor has told me i am aneamic so there is a proper reason for me being so damn tired all the time! The iron tablets should sort me out :)

4. its bank holiday weekend this weekend

5. friend of a friend is selling a vw campervan which has my name on it

6. i'm going to Paris with Lee at the end of this year

7. i resisted a jam donut this morning

8. the sun is shining

9. it's not monday

eBay: chair crush

I think i've found my bedroom chair on ebay, plus a few extra ones! The extra ones i've decided i want round my doksta table instead of the current ikea gilbert ones. These chairs are G Plan Danish Design, not in the best condition and need recovering but hopefully i'll get them (PLEASE). Only major downside is they are located in Kent! So fuel cost alone will be about £40, think it's worth it though.....

I love the simplicity of this, it just looks gorgeous together. Reminds me why i love white with dark brown so much, the contrast just works for me :)

fancy dress de-stress

Having bought the gorgeous green katrina kaye cushion i am now stressing if it's the best choice! I need to switch off from cushions for a while. I have other, much more important, things to stress about like the ongoing BF/house situation!

Instead i will focus on the 70's fancy dress charity party that i'm going to on 3rd may - oh yes my camera will definitely be coming with me! What to wear... what to wear....?? I have a few flares already but not sure what to put on my top half.. and do i go with an afro? (would rather not!) or a beehive would be cool (is that too 60s though...?)

THE cushion?

New cushions listed on Katrina Kaye Etsy shop. I'm thinking this could be the one???!!! I love the cloud/tree look and it's a more muted colour. Feeling excited and scared all at once!! Damn it why can't i be rich, then i could just buy them all.

And/or this one below, which i love almost as much..... only concern being, this is a bit similar to my existing lounge cushion and i want them all totally different. Am going for a bit of cushion eclecticity!

lounge living

My favourite room in my house at the moment is my lounge, probably because all of the other aren't finished!! I love the comfort, relaxation and personality of a good lounge. Not sure what category mine would fit into, maybe minimal mid century modern?? If there is such a thing! Although sometimes it can look decidedly shabby chic..... ;)

passion for pattern

I'm very into my patterns at the moment. It doesn't matter if it's chairs, wallpaper, cushions, lampshades, tea towels, rugs, mugs, or just basic fabric. If it's got a cool pattern then i want it and obsess about getting it.

I love this esperanto chair from Pique, gorgeous, with more fabric options (not even looked at the prices!)

For pattern inspiration on anything and everything, Print and Pattern is full of it....
