One way or another i seem to be having quite an excitable day, and have just found another reason to be excited over at Print & Pattern - new 'earthly delights' fabrics from Etsy Shop Cicada Studio.

Pretty sure i've not discovered Cicada before and i'm also pretty sure one of these fabrics will be perfect for covering my G-Plan chairs.... but which one....?? I may decide next century.... think i'm leaning towards the mushrooms and dandelions as faves.....

Living in a house with zero storage i'm always obsessively on the lookout for unique small storage ideas. These wallpaper backed boxes are fab storage and so totally 'me' that i fully intend to copy!

ethnic ecstasy

Today's slightly more colourful than my usual eye candy is for here a reason - i am going to Tunisia!!! Lee and I are leaving on our much needed holiday in just over 2 weeks (the horrific bikini diet starts now...) Happy days :)

I've always liked a touch of culture or ethnic pattern to contrast with minimalism, so am hoping to make a little Tunisian purchase for my home in between relaxing, sunbathing, lying on the beach, drinking cocktails....

bad lighting

Here i have a slight problem. I had my heart set on the Ikea Klover light above for my kitchen, HOWEVER Ikea have only gone and discontinued it in the larger size and the smaller size is just too small. So what to do?

I have the 'logic' light below which would totally be a feasible option, but my version of it is shown in the bottom picture!! Considering i thought i was pretty intelligent and do have an IQ higher than George Bush (yep - supposedly i do...) i have been trying since Easter to put this light together and can i? can i?? err no.

BIG BUT - it can't be just me as there are endless videos on YouTube that show how to assemble the wretched thing. Although.... even following one of those i still lose the will to live.

ebay temptations

Just had another search on eBay for suitable fabric for my g-plan chairs, why can i not find any?!!! Although.... i did find a few other temptations, none of which i intend to buy of course and why did i have to find such a funky retro lamp whilst looking for fabric. I will not buy, i will not buy....

supermarket shopping

I love it when i discover a new source.... whether it's a blog, flickr set or online shop. I remember when i came across Etsy, it was like a whole new world had been opened up, it all seemed so unique and affordable for me.
